ABOUT THE RUN
Run For Hope 2018 is a charity run to raise fund for a non-profit non-governmental organization (NGO), National Diabetes Institute (NADI). This fun run is also an effort to spread awareness among Malaysians on diabetes especially about children with diabetic known as Type-1.
These children need continues support from public especially financial. As we know, costs of medication is not cheap. Therefore, with the fund raise from Run For Hope 2018, the collections will be channel and use for medication purposes.
Run For Hope 2018 proposed to organize, provide and disseminate information to as many Malaysian as possible about diabetes. From all walks of life, you are called to support this fun run with one intention, running for purpose, running for a good cause.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
In addition to adhering to the event’s Rules & Regulations, Participants will be required to abide to all local laws and customs while participating in the event.
The Organizer reserved the right to modify or substitute any of these Terms and Conditions from time to time as they deem fit. If there is ambiguity in any of these provisions, the Organizer shall be the authority to interpret and in so doing, they will take into account the interests of all the affected Participants.
1. RACE INFORMATION AND ELIGIBILITY
1.1 This event is open to all aged between 9 – 70 years old.
1.2 Underage participants (under 18 years old) must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian.

A Men Open 18 years old and above 6km 60.00
B Women Open 18 years old and above 6km 60.00
E UNITY WALK OPEN 9 years old & above 3km 35.00
Closing Date on 20th November 2018 or when reached the maximum number of participants, whichever comes first.
1.4 For 3km Unity Walk under family group, if any participants who brings along their children below age allowed will strictly under your full responsibility and care.
1.5 Stroller or any bicycle etc are not allowed in this race.
2.1 All participants are encouraged to wear T-Shirt provided for this event (given in the race pack).
3.RACE ENTRY PACK COLLECTION
3.1 The race entry pack collection date is from 27 until 29 November 2018 (11am – 5pm)
3.2 There will be NO Race Pack Collection on event day.
3.3 Collecting the race pack on someone’s behalf is allowed. Please bring along the Confirmation Slip and a photocopy of participant’s Identity Card/Passport.
4.REGISTRATION AND FLAG OFF
4.1 Participants must complete their registration details with true, accurate and current information.
4.2 Inaccurate and incomplete information may be grounds for disqualification or barring from the event with no issuance of a refund.
4.3 Any participants who commence to run before the actual flag-off, he/she will be immediately disqualified.
4.4 Pets, bicycles, in-line skaters, shoes with built-in or attached rollers are not allowed on the course other than official event and medical vehicles.
4.5 The Organizers will not be responsible for any loss and/or damage, personal or otherwise, to the belongings and items deposited at the event storage facility (if any).
5.1 Participants shall adhere with entire rules, regulation and directive given by the Organizer and its appointed and designated Official Crew, Secretariat, Race Marshall, Medic Officers while on/within the race route at all time.
5.2 To ensure smooth traffic and crowd management, participants are to strictly abide by rules, regulation and directive given by the Race Marshall and Medic Crew during the event.
6. MEDICAL INDEMNITY
6.1 Participants must be medically fit and shall take part at their own risk. The Organizer shall not be held responsible for any accidents, deaths, injuries or mishaps that may occur to the participants before, during or after the Event. However the necessary precautions will be taken to ensure the safety of all participants during the race.
6.2 Participants must retire from the race immediately, if deemed unfit/unwell after seeking medical attention/care from any member of the official staff, Organizer, and/or security officer. Participants are strongly encouraged to go for a medical examination and/or consult their medical practitioner prior to the Event registration and before the actual Event day.
7.1 The Organizer reserves the right to cancel the Event at any time without prior notice to the participant, in which case the Organizer will make effort to inform the participant prior to the date of the Event.
7.2 If the Event has to be cancelled, there shall be no refund of fees paid unless the Organizer deems it fit to give a refund.
7.3 The Organizer shall not be held liable for any loss or inconvenience caused.
7.4 The Organizer reserves the right to cancel and/or add any race categories.
7.5 The Organizer reserves the right to cancel or postpone the Event without any prior notification and also delay the commencement of the race under any unforeseen circumstances. There will be NO refund if the event is cancelled for reason of force majeure i.e. due to occurrence of incidents that are beyond the control of the organizer and which renders it is impossible or unsafe to hold the event.
7.6 Once registration has been duly processed, there will be no fee refund for participants who do not eventually participate in the Event for any reason.
7.7 No pets and vehicles are allowed on the course during the race except official race and medical vehicles.
8.1 By signing up for the 6KM RUN FOR HOPE 2018 AND 3KM UNITY WALK, the Participants agree to grant the Organizers permission to collect, analyze, or distribute any personal information regarding the event as they deem fit, including any races statistics and demography information to be used for any future planning, research, and/or other purposes.
8.2 The Organizers reserve the right to use any photographs, video, sound recordings, personal statements/interviews or any other media from the event as they see fit, including in future marketing and/or advertising.
9. END OF COMPETITION
9.2 The Run will be officially over in 1 ½ hours from the start time (flag off).
10.1 Finisher Medal will be distributed at the finish line to all participants.
10.2 No claims will be entertained thereafter.
11.1 Price winners must present their race bib’s number for verification.
11.2 Draw that is not collected upon call will be deem as not present and the Organiser shall be at liberty to pick a new winner accordingly.
12.1 There will be 1 drink station ready along the running route. (at 3km)

In case of any disputes, the decision of the organizer shall be final and conclusive. No appeal or correspondence will be entertained.
I/We hereby agree not to hold the organizer and co-organizers, their representatives and sponsors against all cost, expense or liability that may arise in consequence of my participation in the event, I hereby waive all claims for any and all injuries, death and invalidity to me or the person under my care which may be caused by any act, or failure to act by the organizer, members and employees arising directly or indirectly during the course of event or arising as a result of it. In consideration of the organizer accepting this entry, I hereby assume liability for any loss, damage or liability from the above event. I confirm that I have read and accepted the conditions of entry to event and the rules and regulations for this event. *
